PfP igloo has reached a key stage in the growth of its national development pipeline, with planning applications in for 1,235 new homes across a number of strategic sites.

At a development value of over £300 million, once approved, PfP igloo is set to transform over one million sq ft of brownfield land at its sites at Dundashill, Glasgow, Trent Basin and Elms School, Nottingham and multiple sites in Newcastle, including Malmo and Spillers Quay. Aiming to mirror the success that the joint venture has had on other schemes including Ironworks in Leeds, the new projects form part of strategic regeneration sites on the city fringes, creating new neighbourhoods through innovative design.

Formed as part of a joint venture between PfP Capital and igloo Regeneration, each scheme will be delivered using igloo’s internationally recognised Footprint® methodology, which prioritises a holistic, sustainable approach to development where the wellbeing of people, place and planet are at its core.

Peter Connolly, igloo CEO, said: “There is a huge levelling up job to be done across the country and part of that work is in delivering high-quality, well-designed homes and places, that also address cities’ net zero ambitions. With rising energy costs, getting this balance right is more important than ever, so that our homes are both more efficient and more sustainable, now and in the long term.

“However, we believe each location deserves its own solution. With the nine plots that are currently in planning, as with all our projects, we have worked closely with local councils, communities and stakeholders in each area to ensure that we’re addressing specific challenges and creating a space that is as unique as the city it’s in.”
